In Loving Memory of Irene Scallan

Scallan, Irene cropped resized photoIrene Scallan passed away at 12:00 PM, Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the age of 80 at her residence in Walker. She was a native of Palmetto, LA and was a retired Police Department City of Baton Rouge employee. Visitation will be held at Revival Temple Church in Walker on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 9:00 AM until religious services at 11:00 AM conducted by Rev. Louis Harrell. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband John Scallan, Sr.; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Robert Boone and Pamela and Randy Pourciau; 1 son, John ” Jay ” Scallan, Jr.; 4 sisters, Bell Armond, Peggy Barker, Geraldine Darbonne and Mary Feig; 4 grandchildren, Darryl W. Carter, Robin Boone, Ashley Pourciau and Allison Bourgoyne; 5 great-grandchildren, Darryl J., Sandi, Parker, Brantly and Tinley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Olivia Frame Phillips. Pallbearers will be Darryl Carter, Darryl Joseph Carter, Heath Bourgoyne, Don Scallan, Ronnie Scallan and Sammy Disotell. She was a longtime member of Revival Temple Church in Walker. She was also an avid bowler, loved walking and going to church. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Research, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871. Church Funeral Services in Walker is in charge of arrangements. 225-271-4574
