In Loving Memory of Gloria Braud Simoneaux

Simoneaux, Gloria cropped resized photoA Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Gloria Braud Simoneaux will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, August 11, 2017at St Mark Catholic Church, visitation will begin at 9:00 am.  Interment will follow at Hope Haven Mausoleum under the direction of Church Funeral Services. Mrs. Simoneaux was born on December 30, 1938 in Gonzales and passed from this life on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Carpenter House of St Joseph Hospice. She was a resident of Gonzales, a retired beautician, and a member of St Mark Catholic Church. She was founder of the Gonzales Scrabble Club part of the National Division. She traveled across the country completing in Scrabble tournaments; and once held the title Women’s Scrabble Champion of the World. She is preceded in death by her parents Vital and Francis Decoteau Braud. Survivors include her husband, Henry J. Simoneaux; children, Glenn Simoneaux, Chris Simoneaux “Nobuko”, Tessie Jeffcoat “Allen”, Deshea Brignac “Rusty”; siblings, Gerald Braud, Eugene Braud, Joyce Braud and Shirley Mansur; also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family sends their most heartfelt appreciation and thanks to the staff of Baton Rouge General Medical Center Emergency Room and Carpenter House of St Joseph Hospice for the attention and care given to Gloria.
