In Loving Memory of Faye C. Joseph

Joseph, Faye C. cropped resized photoHeaven gained an angel and God opened his arms and welcomed his daughter Faye C. Joseph home on January 15, 2017. Faye was born April 13, 1927 and is preceded in death by her husband, Avery, two brothers, Thomas “Trigger” Carpenter and Forrest “Johnny” Carpenter and five sisters, Totsie Watts, Billie Smith, Eva Mae Hausey, Bobbie Bailey and Ned Carpenter. She leaves behind a daughter, Ginger Connell and husband Brian, granddaughter Lauren Duncan and husband Blake and Two great grandchildren, Caroline Grace and Hudson Matthew Duncan. She lived a life of strong faith and was a lifelong member of Blackwater United Methodist Church. She loved to sing and was a devoted member of the church choir over 40 years. In her early years Faye was the secretary in the Maintenance and Construction office of Esso. Being the only woman in a department of 500 men, an Esso portrait article coined her as a “Rose among many thorns” . She truly was a gem with an unending amount of love for her family and friends.  She left her mark on all those who knew her. She will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, humor and the immense joy she always found in life. A celebration of Faye’s life will be held on January 21st with visitation at 10:00 am and service at 11:00 at Blackwater United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Blackwater cemetery immediately following the service.
