In Loving Memory of Joseph B. Luquette “Jay”

american-flagMr. Joseph B. “Jay” Luquette was born on May 9, 1933 in Abbeville, LA and passed from this life on Wednesday October 26, 2016 at Hospice of Baton Rouge Butterfly Wing at the age of 83 years. Mr. Luquette, a resident of Gonzales; a retired welder and a member of Holy Rosary Church. He served with the U S Army during the Korean Conflict. He is preceded in death by his wife, Louise S. Luquette; parents, Adrien and Luzina Meaux Luquette; and his siblings.  Survivors include his children, Brenda Fredrick, Janell Dupre and husband Mike, Ronald Luquette and wife Ginger; sister Dot Dailey; also survived by 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and by a host of nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Friday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church; visitation will begin at 10 am until time of service. Interment will follow at the church mausoleum.  Pallbearers will be Jake Dupre, Kevin and Derek Fredrick, T-Boy Hebert, Donald Hebert and Jay Leto.  Arrangements are under the direction of Church Funeral Services of St. Amant, 225-644-9683 www.churchfuneralservices.com
