In Loving Memory of Ida Mae Elizabeth LeGlue Stevens

Stevens, Ida Mae  cropped resized photoBorn April 23, 1924 Died July 26, 2016     Ida Mae was a native of White Castle, LA (Annadelle) and a resident of Bayou Pigeon, LA. She passed away at the age of 92 at St. Joseph’s Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, LA, where she received exceptional care from the staff.  Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, located at 445 Marquette Ave. Baton Rouge, LA 70806, from 1:00pm until the memorial service at 2:00pm on Friday, August 5, 2016. The memorial service will be conducted by Father Cleo Milano.  Ida is preceded in death by her angel, Rhonda Marie Stevens to whom she devoted her life. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. “Bob” Stevens, Sr.; great-grandson, Jude Lee Blanchard; and her parents, Charles & Louise LeGlue; and all of her siblings.  Ida Mae leaves behind her remaining children, Charles Edward Stevens (Karen), Donna Stevens Salvadras Cuquet (David), Robert L. “Bob” Stevens, Jr., Glenn Joseph Stevens, Johnnie C. Matthews, III; her grandsons, Erving “Trey” Salvadras (Krystal); and great-grandson, Leonard Jude Salvadras; granddaughter, Stacey Salvadras Blanchard (Jayme); and grandson, Marc Anthony Morrison.  Ida Mae passed away peacefully with her family by her side.  We would like to thank the staff of Landmark of Baton Rouge, and the wonderful staff at St. Joseph Carpenter House for the incredible care to our mother.  Their care is just unbelievable!  In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to St. Joseph Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, or any organization for Downs Syndrome.
