I haven’t seen Duane since East Ascension High School, we were in home room together, but I remember him well. Always had a joke to tell. RIP Duane! My sympathies go out to his family.

I offer my sempathy and heart felt condolences to the family. I have not been close to Duane for for many, many years now and I regret that. He came from a great family that I love dearly and have many fond memories with in the past. I guess he’ll be hanging with Mr Boregart, Rock and Jeff and walking those golden streets, no more sacrifice pain and suffering for Duane may he rest in peace. God bless all of you that he left behind and may God give you comfort. I will keep all of you in my prayers

Here it is , in 5 hours we will b putting my baby brother to rest . Another sibling, this is not what I want to do . I realize that being the baby of the family , I’m the one that will see this a lot . My heart breaks cause I don’t want this . You never want to see any family member go. He’s walking the streets of gold , he was met by , my father (Rogers j.melancon “Rock” , my brother (Jeffery P. Melancon “Fro” , our grand parents and cousin Chet Melancon. He was also met by all the lives he touched in his time here that has went before him … All I can say is that the sky’s open up and the dancing and singing started … God has taking another beautiful soldier and angle to fight for Him. Duane I will miss you , more then words can say . But I know that there’s no more pain, suffering, and heartbreakes … Your love , since of humor, your beautiful smile and blue eyes , will never be seen or heard again . For that I’m so mad, hurting cause I don’t want to miss that . That’s the selfish part of me . It’s in my heart though and no matter what , no one can take it… But for you I’m happy . Love from every part of my heart and soul … With great pain …. “RIP” my baby brother
