In Loving Memory of Milton Boyd Watson

Watson, Milton   cropped resized photoA ceremony celebrating the life of Mr. Milton Boyd Watson will be Saturday at Walker Baptist Church; visitation will begin at 9 am until time of the service at 11 am. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Walker Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Church Funeral Services of Livingston Parish. Boyd Watson died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, after a battle with dementia. He was 88 years old and a lifelong resident of Walker; and a Veteran of the U. S. Army; having served in the Korean Conflict.  He was preceded in death by his parents George and Ida Milton Watson, siblings Elliot, Roy, Clyde Watson, Wilma Graham and Thelma Jones.  He is survived by his wife of 62 years Olivia Chandler Watson; sons and daughters-in-law Brad and Susie Watson, Ricky and Pam Watson; his daughter and son-in-law Jill and Chris Rushing; sisters Myra Brock and Marion Vorel; grandchildren and grand spouses Terry and Tiffany Watson, Allan and Amanda Watson, Brandi and Joe James, Trevor and Sara Beth Rushing and Maddie Rushing; great grands Tanner, Taylor, Hunter and Hayden Watson, Fisher James and Caleb Duplessis; also special to him were his “adopted” grand’s James, Abigail and Hannah Swetledge.  He was a career electrician, having retired from B & D Electric. He was an avid hunter and hounds man.  His passion was hearing a pack of dogs on the trail of a deer or a rabbit. From the “Old Watson Camp” on Big Alabama Bayou to the hills of Mississippi, he loved being outdoors. He was a lifelong member of Walker Baptist Church.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Walker Baptist Church Building Fund.  Arrangements by Church Funeral Services of Livingston Parish 225-271-4574 www.churchfuneralservices.com

I am so sorry for yall’s sorrow. But we know where Mr. Boyd is now. I hope that will bring some comfort, cause you know you all will see him again. Sending prayers for the family.
